I spoke to The Wave about local resilience 10 years after Hurricane Sandy and how more is needed to prepare for future climate change impacts and the affects on human health.

On the 10th year anniversary of Hurricane Sandy, I spoke on behalf of Rockaway Women for Progress at a vigil with New York Communities for Change honoring the lives of those lost during the storm and highlighting the ongoing recovery effort in Arverne, Rockaway.

I also spoke on behalf of Sunrise Movement NYC on WFUV's What's What podcast about the Occupy Park Avenue actions. Sunrise NYC, NYCC, and RWP all call on Governor Hochul to tax the rich to fund climate action such as green housing and to expedite the ongoing recovery effort from Sandy a decade after the storm.
